Phishing

A type of online scam where a cybercriminal poses as a legitimate organization or individual in order to trick people into giving out sensitive information, such as passwords or financial details. These scams often take the form of fraudulent emails or websites that appear legitimate but are designed to steal personal information from unsuspecting victims. Phishing can also be carried out through social media, instant messaging, or other online platforms. The goal of a phishing attack is usually to steal money or sensitive information, or to install malware on the victim's computer.
