Netflix says it will start offering its Web video service in Mexico and 42 other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean later this year, confirming earlier reports. The company didn't announce a launch date for the move or pricing for the service, which goes for $7.99 a month in the U.S. Last fall Netflix made its first move outside the U.S. by opening up in Canada, and it says that effort has been a success. Earlier this year Netflix announced it would spend more on international expansion than it had previously estimated. |
